What Causes Transmission Shaking?

Transmission shaking can be attributed to the following reasons: Excessive Carbon Deposits: When there is too much carbon buildup inside the engine, the deposits absorb some of the fuel during startup, leading to an overly lean air-fuel mixture. Once the carbon deposits become saturated with fuel, the engine begins to operate normally. However, when the mixture is ignited, the fuel absorbed by the deposits is drawn into the cylinders by vacuum suction, resulting in an overly rich mixture. This fluctuation between lean and rich conditions causes the transmission to shake. Dirty Throttle Body or Air Filter: A clogged air filter restricts airflow into the transmission, disrupting the air-fuel ratio and causing insufficient engine power, which manifests as shaking. Similarly, a dirty throttle body may not close properly, leading to an overly lean mixture at idle and reduced engine power, resulting in shaking.
