What Causes Tire Sidewall Bulges?
1 Answers
Tire bulges mainly occur due to the following reasons: 1. Excessive tire pressure during use: This reduces the tire's contact area with the ground, leading to premature wear. During operation, rolling acceleration or poor heat dissipation can cause the tread temperature to rise, resulting in bulges. 2. Tire quality issues: During manufacturing, if the drying process of the cord is insufficient before rubber coating, or if the rubber compound contains excessive moisture. 3. Problems with bead wire sealing: The rubber at the bead wire area may age and delaminate due to high temperatures or improper rubber compound formulation. Additionally, when using modified rims, irregular deformation during driving can cause friction, generating high heat at the bead area and leading to bulges.
