What causes the Zotye T700 transmission failure and inability to move?

Reasons for the Zotye T700 transmission failure and inability to move: lack of transmission oil; clogged transmission filter; severe transmission slippage; detachment of guide block fixing screws, etc. Lack of transmission oil: Transmission oil working under high speed and temperature for a long time will deteriorate and evaporate, thereby accelerating the wear of mechanical parts and, in severe cases, damaging internal transmission components. If the transmission oil is not replaced for a long time, the car may experience weak acceleration when starting cold. Clogged transmission filter: Persistent dirt and impurities inside, especially when accumulated in the valve body, can form blockages, preventing effective regulation of oil pressure and leading to jerking, impact, and slippage issues.
I'm a Zotye T700 owner, and a few days ago, the transmission failed, leaving the car completely immobile—it was so frustrating. At first, I thought it was a minor issue, but then I noticed the gear lever wasn't responding when shifting, the engine was revving, but the car wouldn't move. There could be several reasons: the most common is insufficient or dirty transmission fluid. If the oil hasn't been changed for too long, the gears can get stuck, and if the oil pressure is too low, shifting becomes slippery. Another possibility is a sensor failure, like a faulty gear position sensor—if the computer doesn't receive the signal, the transmission won't respond. It could also be due to clutch or gear wear, especially if driven aggressively. I tried checking the transmission fluid level myself using the dipstick. If it's low, you need to add fresh oil. If that doesn't work, it's best to head to a repair shop where they can run a computer diagnostic for a more accurate assessment. It's advisable to check the fluid every 5,000 kilometers to avoid many issues. Changing the fluid isn't expensive either—just around 400–500 RMB.
