What Causes the Windshield Wiper Not to Spray Water?

Reasons why the windshield wiper does not spray water: 1. Insufficient washer fluid; 2. Incorrect washer fluid selection causing freezing in cold weather, which may crack the washer fluid reservoir; 3. Malfunction of the windshield washer pump; 4. Failure of the washer fluid hose or nozzles; 5. Blown fuse for the washer pump motor. There are generally two types of windshield wipers: one is the traditional intermittent type, which is the most common wiper with three to four speed settings, allowing the driver to adjust according to rain intensity and visibility conditions; the other is the rain-sensing type, mostly used in mid-to-high-end models. A good windshield wiper should be heat-resistant, cold-resistant, acid and alkali-resistant, corrosion-resistant, able to fit the windshield perfectly, reduce the motor's load, produce low noise, have strong water-repellent properties, and be soft enough not to scratch the windshield, ensuring clear visibility.
