What Causes the Transmission Noise in the Envision?
1 Answers
Envision transmission noise is caused by the structure of the dual-clutch transmission, which inherently produces noise under certain operating conditions. The dual-clutch transmission features fast shifting speeds and high transmission efficiency. Its structure is similar to that of a manual transmission, but it employs two sets of clutches—one controlling the odd-numbered gears and the other the even-numbered gears. The transmission fluid in the Envision needs to be replaced every 80,000 kilometers. Transmission fluid serves the functions of cooling, lubricating, and transmitting power within the transmission. Many transmission shift control mechanisms rely on transmission fluid to operate. Failure to replace the transmission fluid over an extended period can lead to malfunctions in the shift control mechanism.
