What Causes the Sunroof Noise in BMW?
1 Answers
Reasons for sunroof noise in BMW: Aging of sunroof rubber seal or gasket: The sunroof sealing rubber strip is prone to aging when exposed to rain or sunlight for a long time. Rubber conditioner can temporarily restore the performance of the seal. Open the sunroof fully and spray the conditioner onto the sealing rubber strip. Of course, a more direct solution is to replace the sunroof rubber seal. Loose sunroof screws: Loose screws can cause roof noise and sunroof noise, and even pose a risk of the sunroof falling off. Locate the sunroof screws and tighten them. Dust particles in the sunroof track: With repeated opening and closing of the sunroof, dust inevitably accumulates in the track gaps. When enough dust accumulates, friction occurs during sunroof operation, leading to noise. Use a towel to remove the dust, and regular maintenance is important.
