What causes the right side to be too wide when reversing into the right-side parking space?

Main reasons include the following: 1: The timing of turning right when entering the parking space was too late. 2: The car was not properly aligned before reversing, with the front of the car tilted toward the right front. 3: The rearview mirror angle was not adjusted correctly. If the right side is wider than the left, it indicates the direction was turned too late, and the steering wheel must be fully turned first. Correct steps are as follows: Step 1: Enter the test area. The parking space has two orientations—one facing right and the other left. Shift into first gear and slowly drive into the test area, ensuring the car body is about 1.5 meters from the left line. Stop when the driver aligns with the white line. Step 2: Shift into reverse gear. When the rearview mirror and the white line form a certain angle, fully turn the steering wheel to the right. Continue reversing. Step 3: Check the right rearview mirror to observe the distance between the right rear wheel and the corner of the parking space. If the distance is less than 30 cm, slightly adjust the steering wheel back. The smaller the distance, the more you need to adjust. Once the distance is appropriate, fully turn the steering wheel again to avoid crossing the line. If the distance is greater than 30 cm, keep the steering wheel fully turned without adjustment—this indicates the initial turn was too late. Step 4: Watch the right rearview mirror. Once the car body aligns parallel with the right line, immediately straighten the steering wheel. Step 5: Look at the left rearview mirror. Stop when the mirror and the parking space line form a certain angle. Step 6: Drive out of the parking space. Shift into first gear and slowly exit. Watch the left rearview mirror, and the moment you see the parking space line in the mirror, immediately fully turn the steering wheel to the right. Straighten the steering wheel once the car is aligned.
