What Causes the Humming Noise After Replacing Brake Pads?

After replacing brake pads, the humming noise occurs because the brake pads and rotors have not yet fully worn in. Brake pad maintenance methods: Under normal driving conditions, inspect the brake shoes every 5,000 kilometers. Check not only the remaining thickness but also the wear condition of the shoes, whether both sides are wearing evenly, and if they retract smoothly. Address any abnormalities immediately. Brake pad inspection methods: Check thickness: New brake pads are typically about 1.5cm thick. With continuous use, the thickness gradually decreases. When visual inspection shows the thickness has reduced to about 1/3 of the original (approximately 0.5cm), increase self-inspection frequency and prepare for replacement. Due to wheel hub design, some models may require tire removal for inspection as visual checks are not possible.
