What Causes the Horn to Keep Sounding?
1 Answers
If the car horn keeps sounding continuously, it could be due to the following reasons: the horn button on the steering wheel is stuck and remains in a permanently powered position; the relay contacts are fused and fail to disconnect normally, causing continuous contact; or the negative switch wire of the horn is grounded. Additional information: 1. While driving: Avoid pressing the horn for extended periods. Also, do not press the horn too hard or use excessive force, as this is a common cause of failure. 2. During rainy days or car washing: Try to prevent the horn from getting soaked with water. If water ingress is noticed, dry it immediately. 3. Introduction to relay contacts: Relay contacts are in either a normally open or normally closed state, simply understood as switches that connect or disconnect signals. The performance of the contacts is affected by factors such as contact material, contact pressure, load type, operating frequency, atmospheric conditions, contact configuration, and bouncing.
