What Causes the Hill Descent Control, ABS, and Anti-Skid Lights to Illuminate?

If the ABS system and anti-skid system malfunction, it is necessary to visit a 4S store as soon as possible to inspect the wheel speed sensor or replace it. Below are the reasons why the ABS light may illuminate: Reason 1: The sensing part of the ABS wheel speed sensor is covered by dirt, mud, or other contaminants, which affects the sensor's ability to detect the corresponding vehicle speed signal. As a result, the ABS computer cannot determine the vehicle speed or the wheel slip rate, and thus cannot issue appropriate commands to adjust braking. Solution: Clean the dirt from the wheel speed sensor and adjust the gap between the sensor and the signal ring to restore normal function. Reason 2: Poor signal quality due to loose connections between system lines or poor contact in the ABS relay can cause system failure. The most common issue is a loose connection in the wheel speed sensor wiring, which will also display as a poor signal in the ABS computer's fault memory. Solution: Inspect the wiring connections and reconnect any loose parts.
