What Causes the Car Window to Not Close?
1 Answers
The reasons why a car window cannot be closed include: switch failure; blocked tracks or aging rubber seals; damage to the window regulator switch. If it's a switch failure, replacement is the only solution. To protect the power circuit, most window lift motors are equipped with an overheating protection mechanism. If components overheat for any reason, the motor will enter an overheating protection state, causing the window lift to malfunction. Most cases of non-functioning window lifts are due to mechanical blockages. Simply cleaning the tracks and applying some lubricant can resolve this. If the issue is caused by aging or deformed rubber seals, replacing the new sealing strip is necessary. If it's just dirty, cleaning it directly will suffice.
