Car kettle light illuminates due to low oil pressure. The reasons for low oil pressure include insufficient oil level, clogged oil passages, deteriorated oil, or a faulty oil pressure sensor. The car kettle light is the oil pressure indicator light. When this light comes on, you should immediately pull over to the side of the road. Depending on the cause of the oil pressure indicator light, determine whether the vehicle can still be driven slowly to a repair station. Otherwise, call for a tow truck. Engine oil, also known as engine lubricant, serves to lubricate and reduce friction, assist in cooling, seal against leaks, prevent rust and corrosion, and provide cushioning and shock absorption for the engine.
