What Causes the Cadillac Air Conditioner to Blow Cold on One Side and Hot on the Other?

There are two scenarios where the Cadillac air conditioner blows cold on one side and hot on the other: operational issues and system malfunctions. The vehicle's air conditioning system is equipped with a dual-zone climate control, which allows the driver and passenger sides to be adjusted independently without needing synchronized settings. If the air conditioning control system malfunctions, leading to this issue, it should be promptly inspected. The purpose of a dual-zone air conditioning system in cars is to cater to individual temperature preferences, enhancing driving and riding comfort. Dual-zone automatic air conditioning is achieved by adding additional air vents on the sides of the vehicle, minimizing central vents, and independently controlling the airflow on each side. If one side is blowing cold air while the other is blowing warm air, check whether there are temperature adjustment knobs on both sides. Another possibility is a malfunction in the air conditioning system. This issue is often caused by insufficient cooling, typically resulting in cool air from the right vent and warm air from the left. In such cases, simply repairing the insufficient cooling problem is sufficient. The most common cause is a lack of refrigerant, requiring a refrigerant refill, also known as recharging the system with Freon.
