Solutions for BMW Tire Pressure Monitoring RDC Malfunction: Sensor or Module Issues: It is recommended to visit a repair shop for inspection. If the issue is not related to the sensor or module and no programming has been done, simply resetting the system may resolve the problem. Tire Pressure Monitoring Light On: The tire pressure monitoring indicator is a yellow symbol, resembling an irregular circle with no markings on top, four small spikes at the bottom, and an exclamation mark inside. The tire pressure monitoring light indicates abnormal tire pressure. Abnormal tire pressure is generally caused by one of the following three reasons: Abnormal Tire Pressure: Typically, the system will alert if the pressure is below 1.8 bar or above 3.0 bar. In this case, tire inspection and pressure adjustment are necessary. Tire Pressure Monitoring Not Reset: After inflating the tires, if the tire pressure monitoring system is not reset promptly, it will continue to display the previous data, causing the tire pressure monitoring light to turn on. In this scenario, simply reset the tire pressure monitoring system. Tire Pressure Sensor Damage: The tire pressure sensor is used to monitor tire pressure and is directly installed inside the tire, connected to the tire inflation valve. If the sensor is damaged due to impact while driving, it can also trigger the tire pressure warning light. For sensor damage issues, the only solution is to replace it with a new component.
