What Causes the Abnormal Noise in BMW 3 Series Air Conditioning?
1 Answers
There are several reasons for abnormal noise when the car's air conditioning is turned on: 1. Damaged compressor belt tensioner; 2. Excessive wear or damage to the blower motor; 3. Malfunction of the internal/external circulation motor; 4. High pressure in the air conditioning system; 5. Improper engagement of the compressor clutch; 6. Prolonged non-replacement of the air filter. Belt noise: We know that the air conditioning compressor is generally driven by the engine crankshaft via a belt. When the belt is loose, aged, severely worn, or the tensioner's force is insufficient, it can cause the belt to slip or operate unevenly, resulting in a rattling noise. Air conditioning compressor damage: The refrigerant in the air conditioning system needs to be compressed by the compressor to convert low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant into high-temperature, high-pressure gas, which is then liquefied and cooled by the condenser. When the internal components of the air conditioning compressor are damaged, it can also produce a rattling noise.
