Power steering systems can generally be divided into two categories. Below are the causes of power steering failure: 1. Hydraulic Power Steering System: a. Low power steering fluid, such as hydraulic line leaks or reservoir damage; b. ECO valve (Electronic Flow Control Valve) wiring or control failure; c. Power steering pump failure; d. AL control unit failure. 2. Electronic Power Steering System: a. False alarms - try stopping the car, turning off the engine, waiting 10 minutes, and restarting; b. Torque sensor damage; c. Steering gear defects or damage; d. Reducer failure; e. EPS control unit failure; f. Wheel speed sensor failure; g. DSC control module failure; h. Wiring faults or poor contact in steering system components, such as loose sensor connectors.
