What Causes One Side of the Car Air Conditioner to Cool While the Other Doesn't?

Car air conditioner blowing cold on one side but not the other is caused by issues with the air vents, malfunctioning air valve flaps, or blocked air ducts. Air vent issues: If one of the servo motors for the air vents is damaged, it can cause one side of the air conditioner to not cool. Check the direction of the left and right air vents and observe whether the servo motor controlling the right vent's airflow direction rotates accordingly. Air valve flap malfunction: A stuck air valve flap can hinder its rotation, affecting the airflow on one side. Inspect the air door for malfunctions. If the valve flap is stuck, it will obstruct its rotation, directly impacting the airflow. Blocked air ducts: If it's an automatic air conditioner, the dual-zone control function might be activated. Simply disable the dual-zone air conditioning function to resolve the issue.
