What Causes Oil Burning in Peugeot 3008?

Poor sealing leading to oil evaporation; excessive carbon buildup and other reasons. Excessive carbon buildup: Domestic fuel (including gasoline and engine oil) tends to produce carbon deposits; carbon buildup causes piston rings to stick, losing their oil-scraping function; clogged oil return holes prevent oil from properly returning to the crankcase. Valve aging leading to evaporation: Wear between the cylinder wall and piston, excessive clearance, corrosion and aging of valve seals and crankshaft seals, causing oil leakage. Oil burning doesn't necessarily require a major overhaul. Engine cylinder gasket burn-through: Burned-through engine cylinder gasket allows oil to leak from the oil passage into the combustion chamber, which can be resolved by replacing the "cylinder gasket"; it may also be caused by excessive clearance between piston rings and cylinder walls, allowing oil to enter the combustion chamber, which can be fixed through engine repair by replacing the "piston" and "piston rings".
