What Causes Loud Noise in Audi's Air Conditioning?
1 Answers
Audi air conditioning loud noise causes introduction: Throttle valve dirt blockage or sticking: After the air conditioning is activated, the compressor also starts working. Since the compressor is driven by the engine, turning on the air conditioning increases the engine load. This means the engine needs to increase the throttle opening to allow more air intake. When the throttle valve has carbon buildup or sticking issues, it can cause engine vibration and abnormal noise, which becomes more noticeable after the air conditioning is turned on. Air conditioning pump noise: There are two main reasons for air conditioning pump noise - electromagnetic clutch and internal bearings of the air conditioning pump. Electromagnetic clutch noise is mainly caused by wear leading to increased clearance, while air conditioning pump bearing noise is primarily due to insufficient lubrication. If these issues are not addressed promptly, they can lead to air conditioning pump burnout and failure of the cooling function. Poor compressor drive belt tension: If the drive belt is too loose, the electromagnetic clutch is prone to slipping; if the drive belt is too tight, the load on the electromagnetic clutch increases. Improper drive belt tension can cause abnormal noise at best, and at worst, damage the air conditioning compressor.
