What Causes Intermittent Idling Vibration in the Lavida?

Intermittent idling vibration is most commonly caused by a misfiring cylinder. For example, issues with the ignition system—check the working condition of the spark plugs, high-voltage wires, and ignition coils. Poor performance of the ignition system or weak spark plug firing can also cause such symptoms. The solution is to inspect whether the spark plugs have excessive carbon buildup and replace them if necessary. Severe Engine Carbon Buildup: The most common reason for car vibration is a dirty throttle body or excessive carbon deposits in the fuel injectors. When there is too much carbon buildup inside the engine, the gasoline sprayed by the cold-start injectors can be largely absorbed by the carbon deposits, resulting in an overly lean air-fuel mixture during cold starts and making the engine difficult to start.
I've been driving a Lavida for several years and have also encountered the issue of the engine occasionally shaking a couple of times while idling in place, which is quite annoying. There are several common reasons for this: one is excessive carbon buildup in the engine, especially when the throttle body and fuel injectors are clogged with oil deposits, affecting the smoothness of air intake; another is problems with the ignition system, such as worn spark plugs or poor contact in the ignition coils, leading to uneven ignition. Additionally, issues with the fuel system, like unstable fuel pump pressure or the use of low-quality gasoline, can also cause intermittent shaking. If left untreated, the shaking can become more frequent, fuel consumption may increase, and it might even affect auxiliary equipment like the air conditioning. It's recommended to first try switching to a reputable gas station and regularly adding fuel additives for cleaning. If the shaking persists, promptly take it to a professional shop to check the ignition components—don't let a small issue turn into a big problem.
