What Causes Heavy Steering?
1 Answers
There are several main reasons for heavy steering in the steering system: 1. Lack of hydraulic oil in the steering system or air in the oil line; damage to the sealing ring on the power piston; 2. Poor function of the spool valve (excessive clearance or incomplete closure); malfunction of the regulating valve on the oil pump; clogged filter element in the oil reservoir or damaged filter screen blocking the oil outlet; 3. Poor function of the check valve (oil leakage) can also cause heavy steering. 4. Low pump pressure of the oil pump and wear of the steering linkage ball joint, poor lubrication of the steering knuckle kingpin, can also lead to heavy steering.
