What Causes Engine Shaking When Starting?
1 Answers
The reasons for engine shaking when starting are: 1. Poor fuel quality: Inferior fuel has poor volatility, preventing proper mixing of fuel and air in the combustion chamber; 2. Carbon buildup on engine valves and intake manifold: Carbon deposits can absorb some fuel. For example, if the ECU commands 100 units of fuel-air mixture but only 90 units reach the combustion chamber (10 units absorbed by carbon deposits), even complete combustion of the remaining 90 units won't provide sufficient power. Engine shaking during startup may also be caused by abnormal coolant temperature, low cylinder pressure, or clogged fuel injectors. If your vehicle experiences startup shaking, it's recommended to visit an authorized service center for inspection.
