What Causes Engine Oil Leaks?
1 Answers
Engine oil leaks can be caused by the following reasons: 1. Damaged or displaced sealing gaskets; 2. Improper installation of sealing components not following specified procedures; 3. Overfilling of lubricating oil or using incorrect oil type; 4. Prolonged engine use leading to aging and failure of sealing components; 5. Excessive pressure difference between engine interior and exterior. Solutions include: 1. Tightening various fastening nuts as required and according to specifications; 2. Timely replacement of failed sealing components; 3. Proper oil maintenance to prevent sludge buildup that may clog internal check valves or breather valves; 4. Ensuring proper sealing of external connecting pipes. Frequent disassembly may cause fastening rings to loosen/break or rubber parts to stretch, reducing sealing effectiveness and leading to oil seepage.
