What Causes Engine Oil Leakage?
1 Answers
Reasons for engine oil leakage: 1. Damaged oil pan: As the container for storing engine oil, the oil pan will immediately leak oil once damaged; 2. Loose or stripped drain plug: If the vehicle is undergoing maintenance or an oil change, and the staff's negligence or improper operation causes the plug to loosen or strip, the engine will inevitably leak oil; 3. Excessive crankcase pressure: When too much oil is added, or the crankcase ventilation system fails, causing the mixed gas entering the cylinders to continuously accumulate, resulting in excessive internal crankcase pressure, the high-pressure gas will force the oil out from the seals, causing oil leakage.
