What Causes Engine Idle Shaking When the AC is On?

Idle instability and shaking only occur when the air conditioning is turned on, and the possible causes are as follows: 1. Engine control logic error, failing to receive the AC activation signal. When unable to determine whether the AC is on, the engine control unit (ECU) mistakenly interprets it as a temporary high load and attempts to compensate by increasing the RPM to offset the idle resistance. When the engine speed drops, it cannot handle the load from the AC compressor, causing the RPM to rise again. This back-and-forth adjustment manifests as unstable idling. 2. AC control circuit error, failing to send the AC activation signal. Similar to the first point, since the ECU cannot determine the AC's status, it continuously adjusts the idle speed, resulting in unstable idling. 3. AC circuit malfunction, causing intermittent operation of the AC. When the AC is off, the compressor belt runs without load, so it does not affect the engine load. However, intermittent operation of the AC compressor forces the engine to repeatedly adjust idle speed, leading to unstable idling.

I've been driving for nearly twenty years, and I always feel severe shaking when idling with the AC on in summer. I remember during my last maintenance visit, the mechanic told me this is mainly because once the AC compressor kicks in, the engine load increases significantly, and the idle speed can't keep up, causing the shaking. He said the most common reasons are excessive carbon buildup on the throttle body, blocking the air intake, and aging spark plugs leading to uneven ignition. Later, I had the throttle body cleaned for about a hundred bucks and replaced the spark plugs, which solved the problem. Additionally, unstable battery voltage or a loose belt can also worsen the shaking. He suggested cleaning the throttle body once a year and checking these components in advance to save on major repair costs. Long-term neglect could lead to premature engine wear and significantly increased fuel consumption, which is not worth it.

What is the average carbon emission per passenger per kilometer for a car?

On average, a car emits approximately 510 grams of carbon per passenger per kilometer. Introduction to carbon emissions: The carbon emissions of a car are calculated based on the consumption of fossil fuels like gasoline. Burning 1 liter of gasoline is equivalent to emitting 2.33 kg of CO2. Since cars with different fuel consumption rates will consume varying amounts of fuel per unit of time, it is necessary to calculate the hourly fuel consumption based on the car's displacement and then determine the carbon footprint. New carbon emission standards: The new standard for tailpipe pollutant emissions is 30% lower than the current Phase II standards implemented in China. It will come into effect nationwide on July 1, 2007, with Beijing adopting it earlier this year.

How many minutes does it take to drive 30 kilometers?

30 kilometers takes about 30 minutes to drive. Time under different circumstances: The time it takes to drive 30 kilometers depends on factors such as vehicle speed, model, and traffic conditions. Generally, the speed of an economy car is 60-80 kilometers per hour, so a 12-kilometer distance would take about 10 minutes, meaning without traffic lights or congestion, it would take around 10 minutes. Under normal urban road conditions, it would take about 20-30 minutes due to waiting at traffic lights. During peak traffic hours with congestion, it would take even longer. Regulations on driving speed: Motor vehicles must not exceed the speed indicated by speed limit signs or markings on the road. On roads without speed limit signs or markings, motor vehicles must not exceed the following maximum speeds: for roads without a centerline, the speed limit is 30 kilometers per hour in urban areas and 40 kilometers per hour on highways; for roads with only one motor vehicle lane in the same direction, the speed limit is 50 kilometers per hour in urban areas and 70 kilometers per hour on highways.

What Does Window Tinting Mean?

Window tinting refers to applying a thin film layer on the vehicle's front and rear windshields, side windows, and sunroof. This film is also known as solar film or heat insulation film. Benefits of Tinting on Rainy Days: The biggest concern during tinting is dust getting trapped between the glass and film, which can cause grit, bubbles, and scratches. On rainy or overcast days, the air tends to be more humid with reduced static electricity, leading to fewer airborne particles and significantly less indoor/outdoor dust. This creates ideal conditions to prevent impurities between the film and glass that could affect appearance. Tinting Precautions: After tinting, avoid rolling windows up/down for 5-7 days. Keep water away from the inner side of windows - only wash the exterior of the car, not the interior window surfaces. For front windshield tinting, don't direct air conditioning toward it. For rear windshield tinting, avoid pressing the heating wire button.

How many hours per day for Subject 1 check-in?

Subject 1 check-in requires four credit hours per day. According to the "Motor Vehicle Driver Training Teaching Outline," students can record a maximum of 4 credit hours per day, and any study time exceeding 4 hours will not be counted. For video-watching to accumulate credit hours, the only method is to let the videos play automatically on a mobile phone or computer, with no other shortcuts available. Therefore, at a pace of 4 hours per day, the fastest completion time is 3 days. After completing the credit hours, it usually takes 2-3 days for review, and upon approval, you can proceed to schedule Subject 1. During Subject 1 study, you must click "Next Page" after each video ends; going back will restart the process. Additionally, every 5-10 minutes, you need to refresh by facing the camera. Subject 1 consists of 100 questions, all randomly selected and combined from a pool of over 1,700 questions. The question types include true/false questions and single-choice questions, with 30 true/false questions and 70 single-choice questions. The main assessment content covers the theoretical foundations of driving, road safety laws and regulations, traffic signals, traffic rules, and other basic knowledge, as well as local regulations.

Is the trunk sealed?

The trunk is sealed because it uses sealing strips for sealing, which also serve to prevent water intrusion, similar to the sealing strips on a refrigerator. Therefore, air can hardly escape from the trunk. The car trunk is essentially the vehicle's storage room, where you can place various items. Hidden features of the car trunk: 1. The elastic net on the trunk can be used to secure fragile items; 2. The trunk partition can create a relatively concealed and secure space. Many cars do not come with this partition, but it can be installed later; 3. The emergency escape handle, located inside the trunk, allows the trunk lid to be opened with a simple pull.
