What Causes Difficulty in Closing Car Doors?

Difficulty in closing car doors can be attributed to the following reasons: 1. The hinges of the door or the door lock latch have shifted. 2. The door lock tongue cannot reverse and latch properly. 3. Issues with the door lock contact switch or insufficient height of the contact installation, causing the door to appear closed but the door warning light to remain on. The solutions are as follows: 1. Use a T-20 spline to remove the small cover of the door handle and open the door; 2. There is a small hole on the door edge—use a T-20 spline to loosen the screw inside, allowing the small cover of the door handle to be removed by hand; 3. Inside, you will see a cable stuck in the slot of the door handle. If the cable is tightly secured, opening the door will require more effort, so appropriately loosening the cable should resolve the issue.
