What Causes Diesel to Drip from the Exhaust Pipe?
1 Answers
Diesel dripping from the exhaust pipe can be attributed to the following reasons: Incomplete combustion of gasoline: Some of the engine oil that enters the cylinder participates in combustion, while another portion fails to burn completely, forming carbon deposits on components such as the valves, intake ports, piston tops, and piston rings. The remaining portion is expelled with the exhaust gases. As a result, engine oil gradually accumulates in the exhaust passages of the cylinder liner, leading to the formation of additional carbon deposits. Low pressure: For turbocharged diesel engines, low load or no-load conditions result in reduced turbocharger pressure. This can weaken the sealing effectiveness of the turbocharger oil seal (non-contact type), allowing engine oil to leak into the turbocharger chamber and enter the cylinder along with the intake air.
