What Causes Abnormal Noise at the Moment of Car Ignition?

This is caused by excessively low engine oil temperature and low ambient temperature. When the oil temperature is too low, the various components inside the engine lack lubrication, leading to increased friction between parts, which results in some abnormal noises. This is a normal phenomenon. Below is relevant information about engine oil: 1. Engine oil is referred to as the lifeblood of the engine. Inside the engine, it not only lubricates but also cleans, seals, cushions, prevents rust, and dissipates heat. Without engine oil, the engine cannot operate properly. 2. During engine operation, the oil forms a thin film on the surfaces of various components, preventing direct contact and friction between them. If components directly contact and rub against each other, it will accelerate engine wear and generate a large amount of heat instantaneously, which is highly detrimental to the engine. 3. Over time, the performance of engine oil degrades, so it needs to be replaced regularly. Prolonged failure to change the oil will increase engine wear. During each oil change, the oil filter should also be replaced. The oil filter is used to clean the oil; without it, the oil will become dirty after some use, affecting the engine's lubrication and heat dissipation.

Over the years of driving, I've encountered abnormal noises during ignition several times. The most common issue is with the starter, such as gear wear or jamming, which causes a rattling sound when the engine starts. Belt tension is also crucial, especially when the power steering pump belt ages and slips, producing a particularly harsh squealing noise. Cold starts make it more noticeable because the oil hasn't fully lubricated yet, causing the valve lifters and chain tensioners to produce a ticking sound. If the flywheel ring gear has missing teeth, there will also be abnormal noises during ignition. Oh, and insufficient battery power can cause the starter to malfunction and produce strange sounds. I recommend getting it checked as soon as possible. Last time, I didn't repair it promptly and ended up completely stranded at a highway rest area.

Is the wear and tear severe for a used car with 70,000 kilometers?

The wear and tear of a used car cannot be judged solely based on mileage. It should be comprehensively evaluated according to the vehicle's power performance, exhaust emission performance, safety performance, operational performance, and overall appearance. Below are relevant methods to assess the wear and tear of a vehicle: 1. Body Frame: Includes the front, middle, and rear beams of the vehicle body. The main focus is to observe whether these three major components have deformation, bending, or wrinkling. If so, it indicates that the car has been involved in a collision with significant damage. 2. Body Parts: Check whether the engine hood and rear fender are misaligned or uneven; whether components in the engine compartment are misaligned; whether the connections of various safety mechanisms on the vehicle body are tight and whether the gaps between components are uniform. 3. Exterior Appearance: Check for scratches, dense small dents, and rice-sized paint chips on the car paint; whether there are color differences in the paint, which can serve as a basis for determining if the car has been repainted.

Is reversing into a parking space different for SUVs compared to sedans?

Reversing into a parking space for SUVs and sedans is both similar and different. The similarity lies in the observation points being the same. The difference is that SUVs generally have a higher driver position and a larger body, so it's necessary to find suitable reference points based on the specific model. Additionally, most SUVs are equipped with parking sensors and cameras, which can provide effective references. Relevant information about SUVs is as follows: 1. Introduction: SUV stands for Sport Utility Vehicle, which is different from ORV (Off-Road Vehicle) that can be used on rough terrain; the full name of SUV is sport-utility-vehicle, or suburban-utility-vehicle, meaning a suburban utility vehicle that combines the space functionality of a station wagon with the off-road capability of a pickup truck. 2. Features: SUVs are characterized by strong power, off-road capability, spacious comfort, and excellent cargo and passenger carrying functions.
