What Causes a Car Horn to Sometimes Work and Sometimes Not?

Reasons why a car horn sometimes works and sometimes doesn't: 1. Prolonged pressing of the horn can cause the horn contacts to burn out, leading to a weakened current through the electromagnetic coil, reduced electromagnetic attraction, and inability to attract the armature to drive the diaphragm for normal vibration, resulting in a hoarse sound or no sound at all; 2. If the insulation paint on the enameled wire of the electromagnetic coil terminal is not properly treated or the rivet crimping is not secure, it can easily cause a poor connection fault, leading to abnormal horn operation; 3. Although the interior of the horn is sealed, if the seal is not tight and moisture enters during car washing or there is water vapor in the internal air space, it can easily cause the contacts to become damp and fail to function properly.
