Changan uni-t's buttons mainly include steering wheel function buttons, center console buttons, and window buttons. Steering wheel function buttons: The new Changan uni-t adopts a multifunctional steering wheel. The left side integrates WeChat shortcut keys with functions including cruise control setting, cruise cancellation, distance adjustment, voice command, WeChat, and lane keeping. The right side of the steering wheel integrates audio source switch, volume adjustment/mute, call hang-up, previous track, and call answer buttons. Center console buttons: The Changan uni-t's center console also features numerous buttons. From left to right, the functional buttons are: air volume adjustment, cooling, automatic air conditioning, internal circulation, air direction adjustment, front windshield heating, rear windshield heating, and temperature adjustment. Window buttons: Window buttons are standard features in many vehicles. The uni-t's window buttons are concentrated on the main driver's door, including central locking, four window lift buttons with one-touch up/down functionality. Additionally, there are mirror adjustment buttons providing functions for mirror folding, trunk opening, and headlight height adjustment.

I commute daily in my UNIT, and the button layout inside is quite user-friendly. The multifunction buttons on both sides of the steering wheel handle different tasks—cruise control, voice activation, and volume adjustment on the left, while media switching and call functions are managed on the right. The center console is dominated by a floating dual-screen display, with air conditioning controls integrated into the screen, though physical buttons remain for adjusting temperature and fan speed. Near the gear shift lever, you'll find the electronic parking brake, auto hold, and a drive mode selector offering ECO, NORMAL, and SPORT options. Overhead, next to the reading lights, sits the panoramic sunroof control, while the door panels feature standard window switches and mirror adjustments. On long drives, I use the stalk behind the steering wheel to manage adaptive high beams, a feature that proves especially handy in tunnels.

As a new car owner, the first thing I familiarized myself with were the basic control buttons. The start button is prominently located right in front of the gear lever, and the electronic parking brake automatically engages when turning off the engine. The air conditioning control panel features a dedicated MAX defog button, which proves particularly useful on rainy days. The windshield wiper stalk on the right side of the steering wheel comes with speed-sensitive adjustment. The left-side lighting control stalk allows quick switching between parking lights and headlights, while a light push activates turn signals. Below the central touchscreen, there's a row of physical buttons including hazard lights, front defogger, and mirror heating. The wireless charging pad near the cup holders requires manual activation via a switch. The trunk release button is cleverly hidden in the door storage compartment - quite a discreet design.

The intelligent interaction of the UNIT is truly impressive. The multifunction steering wheel features a dedicated WeChat button for voice message playback. The star button near the gear shift area allows for customizable shortcut functions—I set mine to activate the 360-degree surround view. The central control screen supports gesture control; making a V-sign can trigger the camera. In front of the gear lever, there are wireless charging and USB ports, with an ambient light adjustment knob on the edge. Particularly noteworthy is the AI active service button, which automatically adjusts air conditioning and music based on driving habits. The roof control panel integrates an SOS emergency call function, and the infotainment system can be activated via steering wheel buttons with high recognition accuracy.
