GAC Group owns dozens of enterprises and R&D institutions including GAC Honda, GAC Toyota, GAC Motor, GAC New Energy, GAC Research Institute, GAC Fiat Chrysler, and GAC Mitsubishi. Its core vehicle business has formed a steady development pattern in three directions: independent brands, Japanese joint ventures, and European-American joint ventures. Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (referred to as GAC Group) was established on June 28, 2005, with its predecessor being Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. established in June 1997. Its headquarters is located in Zhujiang New Town, Tianhe District, Guangzhou. Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. was established on July 1, 1998, as a joint venture invested and operated by Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Honda Motor Co., Ltd., and Honda Motor (China) Investment Co., Ltd. with share ratios of 50:40:10, and a joint venture term of 30 years. In April 2009, Guangzhou Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. was renamed GAC Honda Automobile Co., Ltd. (referred to as "GAC Honda").

GAC has quite a few car brands, and over the years of driving, I've had experience with their lineup. First, there's GAC Trumpchi, our own domestic brand, mainly focusing on various family sedans and SUVs. Models like the GS4 are quite common, affordable and easy to drive. Then there's GAC Aion, specializing in electric vehicles, particularly the AION series, which offers long range and smart features, popular among young people. On the joint venture side, GAC Honda and GAC Toyota are both very popular—cars like the Accord and Camry are everywhere on the streets, reliable and hassle-free, with Japanese collaboration quality that speaks for itself. There's also Hycan, a joint venture with NIO, focusing on new energy vehicles, though it's still relatively new in the market. GAC Mitsubishi used to be around but is gradually fading out. Overall, GAC's brands cover a wide range, from budget to premium. When buying a new car, considering Trumpchi or Honda is the most cost-effective, and fuel efficiency and eco-friendliness are the big trends.

I know GAC Group has been quite active in the automotive industry these years. Their brands include GAC Trumpchi, an independent brand that has produced MPVs like the M8 with high cost performance. In the electric vehicle sector, GAC Aion operates independently, and models like the AION V boast impressive electric drive technology, making them ideal for urban commuting. Their joint venture partners include GAC Honda - I've ridden in the Odyssey, which offers spacious and comfortable interiors. GAC Toyota is also strong, with hybrid models like the Camry leading in sales due to their energy efficiency and environmental friendliness. HYCAN is a rising star making waves in the new energy vehicle competition. They previously collaborated with Mitsubishi, but recent adjustments have been made. Among these brands, Honda and Toyota are renowned for their reliability, while Trumpchi is growing rapidly. When buying a car, it's advisable to test drive first and check the maintenance services.

I've driven several models from GAC, including brands like GAC Trumpchi, GAC Aion, GAC Honda, and GAC Toyota. Trumpchi represents domestic production, with the GS4 SUV being quite popular. Aion focuses on electric vehicles, and the AION S series offers impressive acceleration. Honda and Toyota are joint ventures, with the Accord and Levin known for their solid quality. There's also Hycan, exploring new energy options. GAC's brand coverage is comprehensive, with Honda being the most reliable.
