Driver's licenses are mainly divided into the following types: A1: The main vehicles that can be driven are large passenger vehicles, and other vehicles such as SUVs, small cars, and passenger trucks can also be driven. A2: The vehicles that can be driven include heavy and medium-sized full-trailer trucks, as well as semi-trailer trucks and a series of other vehicles, including small cars. A3: This type of license allows driving many vehicles, including urban buses with a capacity of 10 or more passengers, as well as small cars and small passenger trucks. B1: Generally, this type of license allows driving medium-sized passenger vehicles, including urban buses with a capacity of 10 to 19 passengers, as well as small cars. B2: This type of license is basically suitable for large, heavy, and medium-sized specialized operation vehicles, and small cars can also be driven. C1: The vehicles that can be driven include small and micro passenger cars, as well as light and micro cargo trucks, and light, small, and micro specialized operation vehicles and ordinary small cars. C2: Some small and micro automatic transmission passenger cars can be driven, as well as light and micro automatic transmission cargo trucks, but they must be automatic transmission vehicles.
When I first started learning to drive, I was also curious about how many types of driver's licenses there are. The most common ones are C1 and C2. C1 is a manual transmission car license, which is very convenient for driving small cars; C2 is an automatic transmission car license, more suitable for beginners or daily commuting. There are also B-class licenses for larger vehicles, like B1 for medium-sized buses and B2 for large trucks; A-class licenses are for large buses like A1. Motorcycles are a different category, with D license for three-wheeled motorcycles and E license for two-wheeled motorcycles. To get a driver's license, you need to pass the theory test first, then the road test. C-class licenses are relatively simpler. Learning manual transmission is harder but more flexible. Now I use my C1 license for commuting to work, and I can handle driving my friend's new car occasionally. Don't forget to renew your license regularly, every 6 years, to avoid trouble from driving with an expired license.
