By purpose: they can be roughly divided into two categories. The first refers to vehicles equipped with specific equipment for particular tasks, such as the commonly seen fire trucks, police cars, and sanitation vehicles. The second category includes those specialized for transportation, such as concrete mixers, semi-trailers, and garbage trucks.
