What are the types of automotive evaporators?

Automotive evaporators can be categorized into the following types: horizontal evaporators, vertical tube evaporators, spiral tube evaporators, air-cooling evaporators, and liquid coolant evaporators. The function of an automotive evaporator is to transform the refrigerant from a liquid state into a gaseous state. By absorbing a significant amount of surrounding heat, the low-temperature, low-pressure refrigerant vapor then re-enters the compressor. This repetitive process achieves the goal of cooling, providing a comfortable environment for passengers, reducing driver fatigue, and enhancing driving safety. The evaporator serves as a radiator device for both the car engine and the air conditioning system. It is typically located behind the glove compartment on the passenger side and is integrated into the same assembly as the heater core.
