Beijing traffic restrictions: The restricted hours are during weekday morning and evening peak periods from 7:00 to 9:00 and 17:00 to 20:00, when vehicles are prohibited from driving on the main roads, auxiliary roads, and roads within the Fifth Ring Road. During these times, vehicles must comply with Beijing's tail number restriction policy. From 6:00 to 12:00, passenger vehicles with non-local license plates cannot make left or right turns onto Chang'an Avenue. However, driving straight through Chang'an Avenue and its extensions from north to south or south to north is not considered a violation of the restrictions. Emergency vehicles such as police cars, fire trucks, ambulances, and engineering rescue vehicles, as well as public buses, interprovincial long-distance passenger vehicles, large buses, taxis, minibuses, postal service vehicles, tourist buses with operational permits issued by the municipal transportation management department, and company shuttles and school buses approved by the municipal public security traffic management department are exempt from the restrictions.
