What are the traffic restriction regulations in Guangzhou?

Guangzhou's traffic restriction regulations stipulate that non-Guangzhou registered medium and small passenger vehicles cannot drive in the central area of Guangzhou for more than 4 consecutive days (natural days). To re-enter, there must be an interval of at least 4 days (natural days). The restricted area is extensive, with a boundary length of approximately 100 kilometers and an area of about 600 square kilometers, encompassing almost all major functional zones in Guangzhou (excluding expressways, South China Expressway, and Southeast-West Ring urban express roads). Vehicle restrictions are a type of road traffic policy that, once implemented, will be maintained long-term with little to no adjustments. There are two types of vehicle restrictions: one involves road-specific regulations that are only effective on designated road sections, with areas outside these sections not being restricted.
