The C2 Subject 2 test consists of four items: reversing into a parking space (reverse parking), parallel parking, curve driving (S-turn), and right-angle turning. Compared to the C1 manual transmission test, it excludes the hill start. According to Article 25 of the "Regulations on the Application and Use of Motor Vehicle Driving Licenses" (Ministry of Public Security Order No. 123), starting from June 1, 2021, the C2 and C5 Subject 2 tests no longer assess hill start and stopping. Reverse parking is one of the more challenging items in the Subject 2 test, so many test centers arrange it as the first test item. This is because drivers must follow the prescribed route and sequence. During reverse parking, crossing the lines or stopping to adjust the position is not allowed. Parallel parking focuses on aligning the front line of the parking space with the rear wheel reference point, the appearance of the rear corner in the side mirror, and the distance between the wheel and the left dashed line. After parking, there is no need to straighten the wheels, and don’t forget to use the turn signal when exiting. After the vehicle is parked, the body must not cross the lines. During driving, the tires must not touch or press the lane boundary lines. Curve driving, commonly known as the S-turn, is relatively easy for many students with good driving sense, as they can complete it intuitively. However, some students misjudge the line positions during the actual test, leading to immediate failure by crossing the lines. The key to the S-turn lies in observing the reference points on the front hood and the boundary lines. Wheels must not press the road edge lines. Right-angle turning is even simpler, essentially a breakdown of the exit phase in reverse parking. The method for finding reference points is the same as exiting: observing the relationship between the front hood’s horizontal line and the front boundary line (just touching or slightly delaying). Ensure the wheels do not press the road edge lines. Important Notes: Typically, the required training hours for C1 Subject 2 are 16 hours, while C2 Subject 2 requires 14 hours. Completing these hours is a basic requirement for taking the Subject 2 test. Training hours can only be increased, not reduced. Additional test items require corresponding extra hours. Each training hour is 60 minutes, with effective teaching time no less than 45 minutes. If you fail the Subject 2 test, you can retake it once. If you fail again, the test is terminated, and you must reschedule the test after 10 days. If you fail five consecutive test attempts (including retakes, totaling 10 attempts), all previously passed subjects will be invalidated, and you must restart from Subject 1. The validity period for obtaining a driver’s license is three years. All tests after passing Subject 1 must be completed within this period; otherwise, previous scores will be voided, and you must re-enroll in a driving school and retake all tests.

What Does a Flashing Engine Malfunction Light Mean?

Engine malfunction light flashing could indicate a fault in one of the engine's components. The engine malfunction warning light is triggered by the ECU (Engine Control Unit), which controls all electronic devices in the engine, such as the electronic throttle, fuel injectors, alternator, fuel pump, etc. When any of these systems malfunction, the engine warning light will illuminate. When a vehicle experiences a malfunction, it generates a series of diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs). After reading these codes, the vehicle's onboard computer will display the corresponding indicator light on the dashboard. If the engine malfunction light flashes on the dashboard, it alerts you to an issue with the engine. The engine malfunction signal is emitted by the ECU, which oversees all electronic components of the engine. A flashing engine light suggests a potential fault in a specific part of the engine, indicating an abnormal condition. There are three possible scenarios when the engine malfunction light flashes: 1. The warning light is on, but the vehicle drives normally. This may simply indicate a sensor malfunction. In this case, you can continue driving temporarily, but it's advisable to drive at low to medium speeds cautiously. 2. The engine malfunction light is on, and the vehicle can still be driven, but exhibits severe shaking, lack of power during acceleration, or similar symptoms. This situation requires immediate roadside assistance. 3. The vehicle fails to start. This could be due to a faulty fuel pump or ignition components, requiring emergency towing services.

What is the difference between N gear and P gear?

N gear and P gear mainly differ in that when the car is shifted into N gear, the engine will not shut off, but the power is simply not transmitted to the drive wheels, preventing the car from moving. However, the wheels are not braked, posing a risk of rolling backward or moving. On the other hand, when shifted into P gear, the parking brake mechanism inside the transmission locks the output shaft, cutting off power to the car and providing a certain braking effect. Here are the detailed explanations: 1. P gear: When this gear is engaged, the wheels are mechanically locked, preventing any movement. The vehicle must be completely stopped before shifting into P gear; otherwise, the mechanical parts of the automatic transmission could be damaged. Additionally, automatic transmission cars generally have a start switch that allows the engine to start only when the gear is in "P" or "N" to prevent the car from suddenly lurching forward if started in other gears by mistake. 2. N gear: Neutral N is equivalent to the neutral gear in a manual transmission and can be used when starting or towing the car. When waiting at a traffic light or in traffic, the gear selector is often kept in D while the brake is pressed. If the stop is very brief, this is acceptable, but for longer stops, it is better to shift into N and engage the handbrake.

Whose points will be deducted for running a red light while driving someone else's car?

Running a red light while driving someone else's car will result in the deduction of the driver's points. In practice, for traffic violations recorded by traffic monitoring technology, if the driver can be identified, the identified driver will be penalized and have points deducted. Point deduction standards for running a red light: According to Article 2, Section 1, Clause 2 of the "Scoring Standards for Road Traffic Safety Violations," driving a motor vehicle in violation of traffic signal lights will result in a deduction of 6 points per offense. Article 3, Section 1, Clause 8 states that driving a motor vehicle in violation of prohibition signs or no-entry markings will result in a deduction of 3 points per offense. How to check for red light violations: You can check for red light violations through the "Traffic Management 12123" app. After opening the app, log in using your ID card, then find and click on the "Violation Handling" option. Under "Violation Handling," you can view the current status of your vehicle. If there are any violations, the specific details will be displayed. You can also check by visiting the office halls of the traffic police departments in various districts and counties, using the touch query terminals. Alternatively, log in to the external service websites of the public security traffic management bureaus of various cities, find the "Vehicle Violation Query" section, enter your license plate number and vehicle engine number, and click "Query."

What to Do If the Vehicle Fails the Environmental Protection Annual Inspection?

Vehicles that fail the annual inspection should be repaired within a specified time limit. If they still fail after the deadline, the vehicle management office will confiscate their driving licenses, prohibiting them from continuing to drive. Vehicles that do not participate in the annual inspection without reason or fail the inspection are not allowed to drive on the road or transfer ownership. Annual Inspection Notes: 1. Self-inspection in advance: In addition to preparing the original driving license, vehicle license, copy of compulsory traffic insurance, and ID card copy, drivers should also conduct self-inspection. Thoroughly clean the vehicle and handle traffic violation records in advance. Check whether the vehicle lights meet the standards—lights that are too bright or too dim will not pass the inspection. At the same time, ensure that the vehicle's braking performance is good, paying special attention to whether the brake system is safe. In addition, verify that the compulsory traffic insurance policy is correct. 2. Handle traffic violations: Owners should handle traffic violations at least 10 or 15 days before the inspection.

What are the main items included in car detailing?

"Car detailing" mainly includes four aspects: car washing, applying heat insulation film, undercoating, and car coating. 1. Car washing: Cars get dirty easily, and car washing should be the most common car detailing service. Nowadays, most car washes on the market use fully automatic car washing equipment, which is convenient, fast, time-saving, and labor-saving, with remarkable washing effects. 2. Applying heat insulation film: Cars have all-metal bodies, which easily heat up when exposed to sunlight. If exposed to prolonged sunlight, the car paint can easily fade or peel off. Applying heat insulation film has become a must-have detailing item for many car owners. The heat insulation film can effectively block infrared and ultraviolet rays, reducing the damage caused by sun exposure to the car. 3. Undercoating: The car chassis is prone to damage, making undercoating an essential detailing item. Undercoating generally uses elastic materials that are easy to dry, do not peel off, have long oxidation resistance, and are rust-proof, moisture-proof, shock-proof, and wear-resistant, providing comprehensive protection for the chassis and maintaining the car's performance. 4. Car coating: The car coating detailing item can significantly improve the car's surface gloss, transparency, and reflectivity, keeping the car's appearance shiny.
