Symptoms of a faulty torque converter: 1. Excessive oil temperature in the torque converter, which is mainly manifested by the engine oil feeling hot to the touch during operation. If this occurs, immediately stop the vehicle and let the engine idle to check the cooling system for leaks; 2. Insufficient oil supply pressure in the torque converter. When the engine throttle is fully open and the inlet oil pressure of the torque converter is still below the standard value, it may be due to insufficient oil supply. The oil level should be checked promptly; 3. Oil leakage from the torque converter, which is also one of the important signs of torque converter damage. This may be caused by loose connecting bolts at the junction of the pump wheel and hub, or aging or damage of the sealing components. If oil leakage is detected, the leaking area should be inspected promptly.
