What are the symptoms of a faulty oil pressure regulator valve?

Oil pressure regulator valve failure symptoms: The vehicle may stall while driving, and it can also cause excessive oil pressure. High oil pressure in the car may result in an overly rich air-fuel mixture, black smoke from the exhaust pipe, insufficient power, low oil pressure or even failure to build oil pressure, and increased fuel consumption. Fuel system pressure testing method: 1. Depressurize. Before checking the fuel system pressure, it is necessary to depressurize first. Remove the fuel pump fuse, relay, or fuel pump connector, then start the engine until it stalls on its own. After that, start the engine again and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery. 2. Install the fuel pressure gauge. Connect the fuel pressure gauge in series with the fuel line to test the fuel system pressure. When disconnecting the fuel line, place a towel or cloth under the fuel line connection to prevent fuel leakage on the ground. Install the fuel pressure gauge to the fuel pressure gauge adapter, and finally, for vehicles with a pressure test port, connect the fuel pressure gauge to the test port. 3. Test the oil pressure. Mainly test static oil pressure, idle oil pressure, maximum oil pressure, and residual oil pressure. Through testing, determine whether the fuel system pressure is normal.
