What are the symptoms of a damaged dryer tank?

Air conditioning dryer tank damage causes ammonia leakage, resulting in the air conditioning system not functioning properly. The functions of an automotive dryer tank are as follows: 1. Liquid storage function: It stores and supplies liquid refrigerant within the refrigeration system to compensate and regulate the surplus or shortage of liquid refrigerant during operational changes. Generally, when the air conditioning system starts operating, the load is high, requiring a large circulation of refrigerant. After operating for a period, the load decreases, and the required refrigerant quantity correspondingly reduces. 2. Filtration function: Although all components in the refrigeration system should undergo strict cleaning and drying before leaving the factory, contaminants may be inadvertently introduced during pipeline installation. Pipes may also produce contaminants such as oxide scales, and the refrigerant itself may not be entirely clean, along with powder wear debris from compressor operation. The filtration system removes these mechanical impurities and contaminants, ensuring smooth refrigerant flow and preventing operational disruptions due to blockages.
