The steps to replace the coolant in the Yidong are: 1. Locate the drain port under the radiator; 2. Open the drain port to release the old coolant; 3. Seal the drain port and pour in the new coolant. The function of coolant is to prevent the cooling liquid from freezing during cold seasons, which could otherwise crack the radiator or damage the engine cylinder block. Taking the 2020 Yidong as an example, its body dimensions are: length 4730mm, width 1820mm, height 1505mm, with a wheelbase of 2700mm, a fuel tank capacity of 53 liters, and a curb weight of 1300kg. The 2020 Yidong features a MacPherson strut front suspension and a torsion beam rear suspension.

I recently changed the coolant for my Changan Eado for the first time, and it wasn’t as complicated as I thought. Step one is to make sure the engine cools down—I usually wait about half an hour before starting, safety first to avoid burns. Step two involves opening the expansion tank cap and locating the drain plug at the bottom of the radiator, then loosening it to drain the old coolant. Some liquid might splash out during this step, so I laid a cloth underneath. Next, I flushed the system with water, simply adding tap water, running the engine for a few minutes, and draining it again to clear out any residual old coolant. Then, I added the new coolant—I used the same brand’s blue-green ethylene glycol type, pouring it slowly into the expansion tank without rushing. After filling, I started the engine and let it warm up, waiting an extra five minutes after the fan kicked in to purge any air bubbles. Finally, I checked that the fluid level was between MIN and MAX. Changing the coolant every two to three years prevents engine corrosion, saving money and giving peace of mind. Remember not to mix coolants of different colors, as it could cause issues.

What Are the Pros and Cons of 21-Inch Wheels?

Here is an introduction to the pros and cons of 21-inch wheels: 1. Cons: On roads with mud pits, stones, or steel plates, 21-inch tires with large wheels and thin sidewalls are prone to blowouts, and the ride tends to be bumpier compared to smaller wheels. The overall elasticity of 21-inch tires is poor, making it harder to absorb and filter out vehicle vibrations on uneven roads. This means the thinner the tire, the higher the risk of bulging and blowouts. Additionally, 21-inch tires consume more fuel. 2. Pros: Aesthetically, upgraded 21-inch wheels look more impressive and offer a premium feel, meeting the demands of car owners. In terms of driving, they enhance handling performance by increasing wheel width, resulting in noticeable improvements in acceleration, braking, and cornering responsiveness. Drivers can feel a significant difference, whether accelerating from a standstill or during motion, as the car feels noticeably lighter and more agile.
