Then, I added the new coolant—I used the same brand’s blue-green ethylene glycol type, pouring it slowly into the expansion tank without rushing. After filling, I started the engine and let it warm up, waiting an extra five minutes after the fan kicked in to purge any air bubbles. Finally, I checked that the fluid level was between MIN and MAX. Changing the coolant every two to three years prevents engine corrosion, saving money and giving peace of mind. Remember not to mix coolants of different colors, as it could cause issues.
