Before starting the car, familiarize yourself with the functions of the buttons inside the car, which are introduced in the manual. They are mainly divided into steering wheel function buttons and the positions of the brake and accelerator at the bottom. First, press the one-touch start button, which is located in the upper left corner of the gear shift. Pressing the start button once activates ACC, and pressing it twice turns on all dashboard indicator lights. After ensuring there are no issues with the car, use your right foot to press the brake, then press the one-touch start button to ignite and start the car. Continue to press the brake with your foot and shift the gear to D. Press down the (P) button for the electronic handbrake, slowly release the foot brake with your right foot, and the car will start moving forward. Press the accelerator on the right with your right foot to accelerate the car.
When I first started learning to drive, I was quite nervous driving an Audi Q5, but now that I'm used to it, I find the automatic transmission really convenient. Before getting in the car, I always walk around it to check the tire pressure. After opening the door and sitting down, I adjust the seat and mirrors, and make sure to fasten the seatbelt properly. Then, I press the brake pedal, insert the key or press the start button to ignite the engine—just ensure the engine sounds normal. Keeping my foot on the brake, I shift the gear from P to D, release the brake, and gently press the accelerator to move forward, avoiding sudden acceleration to prevent jerking. When parking, I press the brake to come to a complete stop, shift back to P, engage the electronic parking brake, turn off the engine, and lock the door before leaving. Developing a habit of regularly checking tires and fluids can help reduce the chances of breakdowns.
