I've always enjoyed upgrading my car's infotainment system myself, and upgrading the 2017 Haval H6's center console was quite fun. The first step is to prepare an empty USB flash drive, formatted to FAT32, preferably 8GB or larger. Then, download the corresponding upgrade package file from the Haval official website or a 4S store, unzip it, and copy it to the root directory of the USB drive. Make sure the vehicle is parked on a flat surface, turn off the engine but keep the power on (press the start button without stepping on the brake), and insert the USB drive into the USB port. Next, go to the center console settings menu, find the system update option, and click on it. It will automatically detect the file and start the upgrade—do not touch the power or remove the USB drive during this process! The entire process takes about 15 minutes. After completion, the system will restart, so remember to check the new features and navigation smoothness. After my last upgrade, the interface became much cleaner, and I could even connect to CarPlay. It's best to back up data before upgrading, just in case, but regular updates can prevent lag and crashes, making driving more worry-free.

For beginners like me who are new to cars, don’t rush into upgrading the infotainment system. First, confirm whether your 2017 Haval H6 system needs an upgrade: check the current version, usually displayed in the infotainment settings. Then, obtain a safe and reliable upgrade file from the Haval official website or a 4S store—never download randomly online to avoid viruses. When preparing, ensure the USB drive is clean and formatted, and park the vehicle outdoors to avoid smoke interference. The key step is to start the vehicle without ignition (powering the system), insert the USB drive, and patiently wait for the system to detect the file before selecting the update. During the process, avoid touching the screen or cutting power to prevent hardware damage. After completion, restart and test basic functions to ensure navigation and radio work properly. The entire operation is simple, but safety comes first. If unsure, seek professional help—after all, the infotainment system is a crucial part of driving navigation, and safe driving should never be taken lightly.

Should You Shift to N Gear Before P Gear When Parking an Automatic Transmission Car?

Shifting to N gear before P gear when parking an automatic transmission car is a relatively correct and safe parking operation. However, directly shifting to P gear can also achieve the purpose of parking. Parking procedure by shifting to N gear first, then P gear: When parking an automatic transmission car by shifting to N gear first, the car's engine no longer provides power, stopping the car's tendency to move forward; then, the electronic handbrake provides the force to overcome ground friction for the car's wheels; finally, shifting to P gear completes the automatic transmission parking. Parking procedure by directly shifting to P gear: The prerequisite for directly shifting to P gear to park is: ensuring the car has come to a complete stop. The P gear of an automatic transmission has two locking devices: the parking pawl and parking gear. When the car is completely stopped, the parking pawl automatically engages with the parking gear, directly locking the car's transmission and completing the automatic transmission parking. If the car is not completely stopped before shifting to P gear, the gears of the parking pawl device will collide, making a "clicking" sound, which will apply certain pressure to the car's transmission, brake pads, and brake calipers, thereby reducing their service life and damaging the car's parking function.

What brand of transmission oil is used in the BMW 5 Series?

The BMW 5 Series is equipped with a 6-speed automatic transmission produced by Germany's ZF company, which uses ZF brand transmission oil. Transmission oil is a lubricant that maintains the cleanliness of the gear system, ensuring the proper functioning of the transmission and extending the lifespan of the transmission components. Functions of transmission oil: Reduces friction and wear, controls clutch friction and synchronizer performance; bears loads (low-speed high torque, vibration loads), dissipates heat, reduces vibration and noise, and removes contaminants from gear meshing areas (cleaning function); prevents corrosion, pitting, and surface metal stripping, isolates metal surfaces, and prevents direct contact between metal surfaces. Types of transmission oil: Transmission oil is generally divided into three types: manual transmission oil, automatic transmission oil, and continuously variable transmission oil. Manual transmission oil is commonly known as gear oil; automatic transmission oil is commonly known as ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid); and continuously variable transmission oil is commonly known as CVTF (Continuously Variable Transmission Fluid). Replacement intervals for various types of transmission oil: Manual transmission: Manual transmission oil is generally recommended to be replaced every three years or approximately 100,000 kilometers. Automatic transmission: Automatic transmission oil is generally recommended to be replaced every two years or approximately 40,000 kilometers. Continuously variable transmission: Continuously variable transmission oil is generally recommended to be replaced every two years or approximately 60,000 kilometers.

What is the difference between Mercedes-Benz GLE and GLS?

The differences between GLE and GLS are as follows: Power difference: In terms of power, the GLE is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine, and the new model does not have a naturally aspirated engine. The transmission is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The GLE offers a choice of 2.0T 258 horsepower or 3.0T 367 horsepower turbocharged engines, paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, with a maximum torque of 370, maximum power of 190 kW, and a top speed of 250 km/h. In terms of power options, the GLS only offers a 3.0T 367 horsepower turbocharged engine, also paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. Space and size difference: In terms of exterior dimensions, the GLE measures 4955mm x 2018mm x 1716mm with a wheelbase of 2908mm. The GLS measures 5214mm x 1956mm x 1823mm with a wheelbase of 2870mm. It can be seen that the GLE has a longer wheelbase than the GLS and a wider body, but the GLS is larger in terms of body length and height compared to the GLE. Comparing the interior passenger space, the GLE's body height of 1716mm is lower than the GLS's 1823mm, so the GLS offers better headroom than the GLE. The difference in passenger space between the two vehicles is not significant, but the GLS's interior and comfort level are noticeably better than the GLE's.
