Press the start button once to power up the entire vehicle. After the vehicle completes its self-check, depress the foot brake and press the one-touch start button to ignite the engine. While keeping the foot brake depressed, release the electronic parking brake. Depending on the actual situation, shift the gear to D (Drive) or R (Reverse). Release the foot brake to allow the vehicle to start moving slowly, then press the accelerator to increase speed. Activate the right turn signal and gradually pull over to the right side to park. Depress the foot brake, shift the gear to P (Park), engage the electronic parking brake, release the foot brake, and after checking, exit the vehicle.

I've been commuting with my Lynk & Co 06 for almost a year now. The starting procedure is quite straightforward: after settling into the seat and fastening the seatbelt, press the brake pedal firmly, start the engine, and wait for the dashboard self-check lights to go off before proceeding. Once safety is confirmed, shift the gear lever from P to D, gently release the brake while lightly pressing the accelerator for a smooth start. When parking, first find a flat and safe spot. After the car comes to a complete stop, press the brake firmly, shift back to P to ensure the car doesn't move, then engage the electronic parking brake—the Lynk & Co 06's is automatic, just a press of a button. Finally, turn off the engine and remember to lock the doors when exiting. I find this routine effectively prevents sudden lurching, especially when starting on slopes where the car's built-in anti-slip assist system helps. Developing this habit makes driving more reassuring and hassle-free, with the new car's thoughtful details adding to the comfort.

When I first started learning to drive the Lynk & Co 06, the starting and stopping process made me a bit flustered. Gradually, I figured out a steady method: The key to starting is to press the brake to start the car, wait for the screen to display 'ready', shift to D gear, then release the brake and gently tap the accelerator—don't rush it, or you might lose control. When stopping, always wait for the car to come to a complete stop, firmly press the brake, shift to P gear, and then pull the electronic parking brake button to prevent rolling. I found the auto start-stop feature super convenient for starting at traffic lights, but beginners might accidentally shift to the wrong gear, causing the engine to stall or the car not to move. It's recommended to practice switching to neutral more. Additionally, checking if the windows are closed before locking the car can extend the interior's lifespan and reduce issues on rainy days.

Starting the Lynk & Co 06 follows the standard automatic transmission procedure: press the brake to start the engine, shift to D gear, release the brake, and accelerate. I appreciate its intelligent electronic systems, such as parking control, automatic locking, and quick, responsive starts without delay. When parking, once the car is stationary, press the brake and shift to P gear, and the system automatically activates parking protection. I've studied the chassis design, which includes additional assistance for hill starts to prevent rolling back—much simpler and less effort than manually pulling the brake in older cars. Mechanically, failing to strictly follow each step could wear out transmission components, so regular maintenance checks are recommended to ensure reliable driving safety without hidden risks.

Can a 2021 car pass the annual inspection after modifying the front grille?

If a 2021 car's front grille is replaced with a Chinese-style grille, and the owner goes to the vehicle management office in advance to file the modification and updates the photo on the driving license, the car can pass the annual inspection. However, if the owner fails to file the modification in advance and does not update the photo on the driving license, the annual inspection will not be passed. Relevant regulations for modification procedures: Since September 1, 2019, modifying the front grille of a car is considered a legal modification. According to the latest "Motor Vehicle Inspection Work Regulations," during the registration and annual inspection, the actual appearance of the vehicle should match the photo, except for modifications to the front grille. If the vehicle's appearance does not match the photo on the driving license and the modification is done without authorization, it is illegal. Traffic police may impound the vehicle and order the owner to revert the changes. Article 16 of the "Road Traffic Safety Law of the People's Republic of China" stipulates that no unit or individual may assemble a motor vehicle or alter the structure, construction, or characteristics of a registered motor vehicle without authorization. Regulations that do not require modification procedures: Article 16 of the "Motor Vehicle Registration Regulations" states that under the following circumstances, the owner of the motor vehicle does not need to apply for modification registration, provided that the safety and identification of the license plate are not affected: small and micro passenger cars equipped with front and rear anti-collision devices; freight motor vehicles equipped with windshields, water tanks, toolboxes, spare tire racks, etc.; and increased interior decoration of the motor vehicle. In other words, except for the above cases, any modification to a car requires filing with the vehicle management office.
