What are the solutions for high fuel consumption in the 2006 Odyssey?

Due to wear of the cylinder barrel and piston rings, the air tightness is reduced, and the compression ratio cannot meet the standard; replacing the corresponding components can solve the problem. Insufficient battery power causing the starter motor to rotate inadequately may also result in failure to start. It is recommended to have it inspected and repaired at a 4S shop.
My 2006 Odyssey used to consume up to 14L/100km in city driving, and I later found out the main culprit was worn-out spark plugs. When I took them out, the electrodes were nearly flattened, drastically reducing ignition efficiency. After replacing them with new OEM spark plugs, fuel consumption immediately dropped by 2L/100km. Another key factor was the oxygen sensor, which tends to clog easily in older cars, leading to inaccurate fuel supply. Last time when cleaning the catalytic converter, the mechanic soaked the oxygen sensor with a specialized solution, and fuel consumption dropped by another 1L/100km. I also realized a dirty air filter can increase fuel consumption, so now I make it a habit to remove and blow out the dust every three months, and I change the cabin air filter more frequently too. After addressing these issues, fuel consumption has stabilized at around 10-11L/100km.
