What are the solutions for a car air conditioner not cooling?

Check whether the car air conditioner is low on refrigerant or if there is a refrigerant leak. While adding refrigerant, also add fluorescent dye, then use a specialized UV lamp to inspect the air conditioning system and replace any faulty components.
It's really a headache when the air conditioning doesn't cool in summer, and I've experienced it several times. The most important thing is to check the refrigerant first. After three to five years of driving, the refrigerant tends to leak, especially at the aging joints of the air conditioning pipes. If the refrigerant is low, just go to the auto repair shop to top it up, but remember to have them perform a pressure test. If there's a leak, it needs to be repaired first. The air conditioning filter is also a culprit. Last time I opened the glove box to replace the filter myself, I found it clogged with leaves and dust. After replacing it, the airflow immediately improved. A loose compressor belt can also cause poor cooling. You can judge by opening the engine compartment and listening for any squeaking noises. It's best to have a professional air conditioning maintenance before summer every year, so you don't suffer on the road.
