What are the reasons for the Touareg fan not working?

Reason 1, Main control switch: Poor contact of the main control switch. Repair method: Use a multimeter to measure the contact resistance of the main control switch. If the resistance is too high or zero, it should be repaired or replaced. Reason 2, Fan motor: Damage to the fan motor coil. Repair method: Use a multimeter to measure the contact resistance of the main control switch. If the resistance is too high or zero, it should be repaired or replaced. Reason 3, Set screw: The set screw between the motor and the fan blade is loose. Repair method: Tighten the set screw. Reason 4, Capacitor: Open or short circuit of the fan capacitor. Repair method: Check the capacitor and replace it with one of the same specifications.
Last time when my fan wasn't working, I first checked the fuse. The cooling fan fuse for the Tiguan is located in the engine compartment fuse box - if it blows, the fan stops working. Then you need to check if the relay is functioning properly, as VW relays are prone to contact oxidation. The thermostat switch and coolant temperature sensor are particularly troublesome; if they fail, the ECU won't receive high-temperature signals and won't command the fan to operate. There's also the possibility of worn carbon brushes or burned coils in the fan motor itself. I remember during one test drive discovering that the low-speed fan worked but the high-speed didn't - that turned out to be a failed resistor module. Corrosion of electrical connectors from rainwater is another common issue. Finally, check if the belt is loose - although the Tiguan uses an electric fan that isn't belt-driven, seized bearings in the pulley system can also prevent the fan from operating.
