What are the reasons for the headlights of the Lavida not working?

Lavida headlights not working reasons are: 1. Severely depleted battery; 2. Overheated wires causing increased circuit resistance, leading to reduced headlight brightness, and in severe cases, short circuits due to melted wire insulation, potentially causing circuit damage or vehicle fires; 3. Contacts in the lighting relay or combination switch becoming corroded or stuck, preventing the circuit from opening or closing; 4. Blown fuse in the headlight circuit, leaving the front of the vehicle in darkness; 5. When using multiple electrical devices for prolonged periods, the generator's diodes and coils may burn out, causing the generator to stop producing electricity.
Last year, my Lavida's headlights also stopped working. After some troubleshooting, I found out it was a blown fuse. You just need to pry open the small storage compartment on the left side of the steering wheel, and behind it, there's a row of fuses. Locate the one labeled for the headlights, pull it out, and sure enough, the middle part was melted. Spending two yuan to replace it with a fuse of the same amperage fixed the issue. If the lights don't respond at all, you should also check if the bulb socket's plug is loose—Volkswagen cars tend to have oxidation and blackening of the plugs over time. Once, during a rainy day, the right headlight suddenly went out. When I took it to the repair shop, they found the socket contacts were corroded, and the mechanic fixed it by sanding them down with sandpaper. Of course, a burnt-out bulb itself is more common—just unscrew the dust cover and replace it with an H7 bulb, being careful not to touch the glass part. If you've modified the wiring, pay extra attention to checking the connection points.
