What are the reasons for no signal from the engine speed sensor?

If the engine control unit does not receive the speed signal or the received signal is unstable, possible reasons include: 1. The distance between the sensor and the target wheel is too large. 2. Short circuit or open circuit in the sensor wiring. 3. The sensor is damaged. Solution: Measure the resistance between the two terminals of the sensor. This resistance should be between 0.7 and 1.2kΩ: 1. If the resistance is outside the specified range, it indicates that the sensor is damaged and the speed sensor should be replaced. 2. If the resistance is within the specified range, continue to check whether there is a short circuit to ground, a short circuit to the positive pole, an open circuit, or a short circuit between the wires in the wiring from the sensor to the engine control unit. Repair any problems found in time. If the problem is still not resolved after troubleshooting the wiring, the speed sensor should be replaced.
