What Are the Reasons for Car Key Malfunction and Vehicle Non-Response?

Car key malfunction and vehicle non-response can be caused by a dead car battery or the presence of high-power radio signals on the same frequency. Dead Car Battery: This prevents the vehicle from receiving signals; a depleted car remote key battery can also result in the inability to unlock the doors. Presence of High-Power Radio Signals on the Same Frequency: Car remote control failure occurs when there are high-power radio signals in the vicinity operating on the same frequency. This interference prevents the vehicle's signal reception device from detecting the radio-encoded commands sent by the remote key, leading to remote control failure, such as the inability to lock or unlock the doors.
I also encountered a car key malfunction a couple of days ago where the car didn't recognize it at all. The most common issue is a dead key battery—just replace the coin cell yourself, which is cheap to buy at the supermarket. If the key has been dropped or exposed to water, the internal circuit board can easily get damaged, and you'll need to visit a 4S store for repairs. Another possibility is signal interference in the surroundings, like from surveillance cameras in mall parking lots—just move to a different spot. If the car battery is low on power, it can also affect the key's sensing—try charging the battery. Lastly, the key might need to be re-paired. I forgot to re-pair mine after changing the battery last time—holding the start button for ten seconds fixed it. If none of these solutions work, you'll have to visit a professional shop to check the receiver.
